My story of wanting to make people feel better every day by remembering moments of their past started with a promise to my dear family friend, Yvonne.  Laughter gave her hope through her moments of pain.  My funny faces and memories of old times of childhood, moments that only she could relate to, helped ease her pain.  Laughter became more than just a kind gesture from me to her.  We reminisced about old school music, all the fun we had sitting on our front stoop and laughing amongst friends for hours.  We shared priceless memories together that helped her, even for a moment forget her pain.  My dear friend Yvonne asked me to promise to never stop making her laugh with my “madness”, my way of looking at the world.  I try my best every day to keep that promise going.  She has since left this earth and I can only hope that she is still laughing!  #Youdontknowaboutthisshitkiid™️ is about helping individuals remember what it was like back when they were younger.  Times seemed so much simpler then.  I can still remember when love letters gave you the feeling of butterflies in your stomach or making love cassette tapes for that special someone.  Who can forget roller skating at Stars Roller Rink, Skate Key, or EZ skate in the Bronx?  The days of just playing in the park felt endless.  The fun continued at the night clubs: Funhouse with DJ Jellybean Benitez, Studio 54, Danceteria, and the Roxy.  We would watch the sunrise from the 6 train while heading to Orchard Beach, Section 5.  The party continued with friends and even with some strangers to smile, listen to music and dance the day away.  I want to reminisce about a time when people looked up at you and not at their phones.  We interacted and socialized with one another every day.  I’m doing my best to keep my promise to Yvonne.  Thank you for appreciating my videos and for sharing in my “madness”.  Remember to stay humble and to never stop smiling.
